Practising Nei Gong does not replace any necessary medical examination or treatment.

Mind

Practising Nei Gong supports the development of your mind, as well. In fact, the Chinese term Xin describes more the heart than the mind. Allow your personality to grow by the time.

There are three principles, which are very important to follow:

Ren

One aspect of the word ‘ren’ can be translated as ‘tolerance’. Acting tolerant in daily reality can be practised, when something is disturbing you and you learn how to get at ease with it. The second aspect is forgivingness. Forgiving the people that constantly disturb you - it is easier than keeping the negative energy up. Forgiving people that hurt you or your feelings ...

Shan

Shan means ‘empathy’. Not in the superficial sense that one demonstrates helpfulness by donations to charity organisations for the purpose of boosting one’s ego. The first step is to gain awareness about your projections and control over your egocentric tendencies. In fact this is quite a development task for many people - including myself. Simply help for the sake of improving other peoples lives - without any mission, without any wanton for reward. Show respect for anyone and anything in your world.

Zhen

This Chinese expression simply describes ‘truthfulness’. The phrase ‘talking the truth’ often leads to the question ‘which truth ?’, today. Don’t we express just our opinions, in the majority of cases ? Do we really know, what we are talking about ? A lot of things can be ‘proven’ scientifically, just through ‘designing’ the set-up of the experiment ! Does that mean, it is true ? On top of that, the perception of the ‘truth’ is another story. Depending on the environment, the perception of truth can vary a lot. In daily practise, try to look behind your own curtain. Analyse the illusions, that you are giving in to, don’t deceive yourself with a lot of entertainment and other unnecessary things. Have a look at your fears and analyse, whether they are real. Get rid of them, one by one, and feel your growing strength.

Again I would like to refer to literature on the above mentioned topics for those with deeper interest about Chinese philosophy.
